A New Material World

We’re taking a look at companies exploring new and different materials that may not be normally used in instrument building. Bringing new sounds, looks, and feelings to the market with their creations.

Synergy Instruments out of Wallaceburg, Ontario are building a variety of stringed instruments including acoustic and electric guitars out of carbon fiber. Light weight and durable, carbon fiber also offers a unique look.

Another company shaking things up with the materials they use is Instrumental Aluminum out of Ontario. They’re working on a line of guitars made with recycled aluminum bodies.

We’re committed to waste reduction, recycling, and responsible manufacturing. Our instruments are made with recycled aluminum, which uses less than 10% of the energy required to make new aluminum.

Branching out (pun intended) into the pedal world, this group of builders are using wood for some of their pedal enclosures. From red oak to recycled skateboard decks, these pedals have a unique look that stands out from the crowd.
